    - -As can be imagined, holding a week long convention of members from all over is very costly primarily borne by members.

The skeleton crew do minor news blurbs, but it would appear there is no great impetus to update their 15 yr old rankings.

        His record.

Check it out: 1) he has roughly the same number of KOs; 2) more wins; 3) accomplished in a MUCH shorter amount of time; 4) came of age in a more difficult era, while Moore had the clearly stood on the shoulders of giants; 5) Stribling did a better job of leaving the ring standing; and last but not least: 6) beat/faced/faired better against superior competition.

And here's the real kicker: Tunney dodged Stribling. That's possibly just roomint as my detective friends say. But the story is that Tunney opted to fight Dempsey, pulling out of a fight w/ Stribling.

Moore couldn't even get into the ring w/ anyone as good as Gene, let alone scare him away from it!

          End of comparison.
Stribling didn't wanna embarrass them. They had enough problems in those days.

              Two words: Tommy Loughran.

Actually, it should be four words, since Stribling beat him twice. ( More than Gene Tunney could say. And about on par w/ the incomparable Harry Greb).

He was also a relevant Heavyweight, not just someone selling tickets on name value. He did better than louis against Shmeling in their respective first outings. Better than Moore would have also.

Ancient Archie was a legendary pugilist.
I can’t remember, but it might’ve been after Roy jones knocked out Virgil Hill , that the always over Dramatic Jim Lampley said ya know George this might be the best light heavyweight of all time.
                Foreman said seriously Jim
“ Archie Moore had more knockouts than this guys had fights.” Let’s be careful
Oh wow, fancy that, George Foreman picked one of his trainers to be the best at something.

Too bad he wasn't so high on Gil Clancy when having an opinion of his trainers actually mattered.

Ok, sure. And if you had balls you'd be my uncle.

                    - -The tragic Strib was a daredevil knocked out forever in a motorcycle accident. Thankfully he was solvent enough to provide for his widow and child(ren).

I'm still round and ain't never been KOed, nor leaky as is yer rusty bucket.

Got anything of substance that relates to boxing?

                    I thought not.

Says the guy who can't suck the peanut butter off them fast enough. It's great, you don't even care if I've shaved them or not. You've convinced me Karma's a real thing: clearly you were a vacuum cleaner in a past life.

Now, can you tell me when Moore beat anyone as good as Loughran? What black fighter can you name on Moore's ledger as good as Loughran?

Can you actually discuss Boxing, or are you here simply to prove you're meaningless when you're not on your knees?
