Arturo did Joey Gamache dirty? Or was it the NYSAC that allowed Gatti to inflate big?

We should go back to same day weigh-ins. It was a viable method for decades and would nip weight bullying in the bud.

enough crying about this, if you can make the weight, then you can fight in that division. Gamache had been fighting at 140 for some time.

There are tons of more disgraceful fights.

The cruiserweight that Fury fought this spring, way undersized and 100% that guy took a dive. The nobodies that Andre Ward fought in the 4 years between his dawson and kovalev fights, when Ward was lineal champ and top 3 p4p in the world fighting literal uber drivers, complete mismatches that shouldnt have been sanctioned.

Gatti was not an elite and Gamache had been fighting at 140 for years. So what that Gatti weighed more on fight night. Theres been so many bigger mismatches.

The claim was, that Gatti never actually made weight and Main Events screwed around with the scale

I can’t blame Gatti either, but I do feel for Gamache.

That’s the rule for sure, but I kinda feel for Gamache. I also agree there have been plenty of worse mismatches.
