This would be an all out war; a thing of beauty. If you thought Hagler-Hearns was something...

I'd have to favour Duran; but man what a fight this would be. I can see Pryor getting dropped a couple of times; but ultimately, I believe it would go the distance with Roberto winning the decision.

With or without Panama Lewis in Pryor's corner?

i think it really depends which duran shows up. what does he bring that night? the duran from the deJesus fight was very hard to hit, he fired a nice jab, and as always his punches to the body were great but the duran from a few years early was more of a brawler and i think he would of been outclassed by a few of the greats at 135 (just my opinion).

i do like duran in this matchup, though. aaron pryor, in the fights i've seen throws a lot of punches and can take a lot of punches. but against duran, that spells death. the same Duran who knocked out a horse with his bare fist is how hard he hit at lightweight. it might be wrong to judge aaron on only a couple fights (which is unfair) so correct me if i'm off, but aaron throws in volume rather than try to land the one hard shot, like the left hook that dejesus nailed duran with. i think duran can take a lot of punches, but aaron would get caught by duran and slow down. once duran has you hurt, the party's over. duran KO14 or 15.

at 140 i think it would be a little different. pryor could maybe beat him. i would assume it was hard for a 5'9'' lightweight like pryor to make lightweight, and duran at 147 bulled leonard in the ring but halfway between light and welter might have been the best weight for pryor. When you look at what esteban dejesus did to duran at 135 at 5'5" tops including dropping him, i think at 140 pryor's size and strength plays a major issue. pryor was like the "body snatcher" of the lower weights.

I agree that at 140 Pryor would probably win. He`s one of the best ever at 140.

Personally, i view this as a bad matchup for Pryor. There's no doubt that the first couple of rounds would be an all out brawl full of excitement, but eventually, Duran would wear Pryor down. The difference-maker in this bout would be defense. While Pryor couldn't care less about avoiding punches, Duran was a master at this craft, especially on the inside.

Duran's mouth would water at the sight of Pryor's wild, wide-swinging punches. Duran would counter Pryor all day, until 'The Hawk' comes crashing down. Duran by mid-late stoppage.

this fight could be the best ever, i take duran probally late ko his head movement being the difference, it would be like the first 4 rounds of the second dejesus fight, but for like 10 or 12 rounds
