    Sorry, none of them are right - though I think, all but the first one are pretty good guesses. But Buster Mathis Sr. was never a world champion.

    Anyway, it's not cheating to use the link! Even with this help, it would take forever to find the answers, if you don't have an idea, what your looking for.

    So the Annual Ratings should be used to check, if someone you have in mind, is the right answer.

                Willie Pep is incorrect? Then it has to be someone earlier?
                Pep was ranked from 42' through '54; not good enough?.

                I just tried Mickey Walker, he had an eight year run. Damn!

                    By decade I mean an actual decade - like, for example, the 1930s: 1930-1939.
