I think I have watched all of them including creed. Stallone has evolved as an actor/storyteller. Even in Rocky 5 they have a loose plot of Morrison playing the tyson type of role moving from his mentor(rocky) to that King like promoter. Ends up being very Sad as to how Morrison's life ended.

Speaking of Rocky, it's kind of sad a fictional boxer gets a statue, yet Joe Frazier a real life boxer from Philadelphia, doesn't. I remember comedian Bill Burr mentioning this when a Philly crowd started booing before he even started and went off on the crowd for his entire set rather than doing his routine. Classic moment captured by a few fans and posted on youtube.

I love the whole Rocky franchise, probably because it came out when I was a young kid. But the first one is far and away the best.

I liked the first 3 and thought it should have ended there. After that, 4 is a fun "so bad, it's good" guilty pleasure as pointed out by The Nostalgia Critic and fans of the franchise, 5 blows, even said by Stallone. A review on Cinemassacre I saw summed it up when it said that the main lesson it shows is that violence seems to solve everything, which it doesn't and the street fight doesn't make sense, since Rocky is still broke and Tommy is still the champ. Good premise with Rocky as a trainer, but done much better in Creed. I liked Rocky Balboa a lot, brought the character full circle, once again being an underdog against the champ and losing a split decision and managing to do the distance. I also liked that Stallone knowing the criticism of the fight scenes of the earlier films, let boxer Antonio Tarver hit him for real in a lot of the shots and Creed looks like it could be the beginning of a new franchise for that character.

So, 1 is the best, I like the first 3, the series goes downhill after that mostly, with 6 and 7 being pretty good, much stronger entries than 4 and 5.

LOL, didn't even see the answers posted, just the first post, before I responded. So I got Tony Gazzo and Exlax wrong. Joe Spinell was great in that role and he was able to break out of that mold of just playing bad guys, gangsters or cops, doing some really good horror/slasher films too like Maniac, The Last Horror Film and The Undertaker.

Are you sure about this one? Sage Stallone plays his son in Rocky V if I'm not mistaken.
