Interview with Bob Mirovic

Interesting read. Good ol' Bob Mirovic. Boxing needs these type of fighters. The Australian belt is like the English title & Canadian heavyweight title. Not important belts on the international stage but an achievement in one's country. We had a similar domestic fighter from my hometown. Ken Lakusta won the Canadian heavyweight title a couple of times. He owns a gym here in Edmonton. He made enough money boxing to buy that gym. He fought Larry Holmes, David Tua, Pierre Coetzer, Tommy Morrison, Razor Ruddock, Michael Dokes, Trevor Berbick, Frank Bruno, Willie de Witt (Twice), Francois Botha & his most famous fight was against George Foreman here in Edmonton. He actually rocked big George in the 2nd round. He buckled his feet a little but then George put the pedal down. Guys like Bob Mirovic & Ken Lakusta are important guys in boxing. Trialhorses are needed & they fill those roles. Both guys made enough to open up gyms. Today we have guys like Jason Gavern to do that...
