Great thread, I'll green you if I can figure out how (on my phone)

My knowledge of history is not the greatest, but I have a good grasp of how styles mesh etc and have seen most of these guys fight.

Imo it's highly unlikely if not close to impossible for one guy to have foight that schedule without losing a couple times. That's an unbelievable run of fighters.

One name comes to mind as being a possibility. Roy Jones jr. If he was a bit naturally smaller and could have stayed at MW for longer than he was able too.

He's got the speed and skills to outbox all those guys (but even then would have serious trouble with Nunn) and the power to **** with all of them.

Of course plenty of those guys could put your lights out with one shot though.

It would have to be a truly great middleweight..

Ray robinson- he could surely win a belt, but much like his actual mw reign, he would win and lose it multiple times and never be able to reign uninterrupted from 89-95

Roy jones- I think has the best chance of reigning simply because the best 3 fighters during that era was jones and 2 guys he beat rather easily, toney n Hopkins..

Marvin hagler- prime Hagler 77-85 would have a pretty good chance of reigning but I could see him getting upset by jones, toney, or hopkins..

Carlos monzon- much like hagler, he could win most fights but I could see him getting upset..

Of the 18 fighters mentioned- I think roy has best chance of an uninterrupted reign. hagler and Monzon both go 17-1, maybe 16-2... Ray robinson goes 14-4

Good post! I agree for the most part but I think Hagler also goes undefeated also but IMO he KOs Jones late in a fight where he is far behind on the cards

I don't think one can green k on the phone... I tried it and could not. Ill put my man down for some presently if its any consolation...this is indeed a great thread idea.

Of the guys that fought during this time Jones has the best chance of running the gaunlet and still standing, of all the guys at middle weight Ray Robinson could perhaps make it out with few, or no losses.

Again...this division often gets really strong because of the natural weight of human beings. You will always have the greatest pool of fighters at middle weight. Thia fighters consider middle weight champs to be "the champ." in much the way boxing puts the heavy weight champ on a pedestial.

Ezzard Charles maybe ?, with modern weigh ins he'd be able to stay at middleweight for longer n he'd be a huge one at that.

Sam Langford - would most likely knock out all those fighters. Other middleweight greats like, **** Tiger, Gene Fullmer, Carmen Basilio, Micky Walker, Harry Grebb, Freddie Steele, Sugar Ray Robinson, Tony Zale, Stanley Ketchel would be favored to beat those fighters.
