    Kid Kaplan deserves a mention, pretty amazing line up of boxers though compared too some of the other lists.

          Good shout, he was an oversight, i'll look into whether he should be on the list at a later date. Have I missed anyone else?

          He'll be on the pre-1915 list.

            Cerdan was also the Welter & Middleweight European Champ.

            Skill wise was one of the best world wide at both weights.
            He is easily the most underated fighter, most fans don't even know who he was.

              back in 1977 before VHS or DVD, i attended an "Evening of Boxing" which was hosted by British Promotor Micky Duff & his son. They played old 9mm & 16mm reel to reel fight-film of Marcel Cerdan, Joe Frazier, Bob Foster & Muhammad Ali. They showed around 8 to 10 fights of Cerdan, who looked incredible..

                  a bit before this time period but i must clear something up here, Nelson was a scandinavian but began fighting in the USA and stayed there and maybe Canada as well. Bat was a US citizen

                    and one of my all time favourite heroes of the ring, at least in my fave top ten. He was not a fighter for the faint of heart
