If guys like Jake Lamatta a very unrefined Marciano type fighter gave him trouble and even beat him,i dont see Marciano not having the ability to win almost every time .
Lol. Giving away way too much weight and strength here. Ray even at MW regularly came in at 155ish. And these weren't his prime years. 155 vs 185? Between two top fighters? Not a fair fight.
With modern day weigh ins, Ray could have made 135 for longer, and probably made 140 for a fair bit i reckon. He'd eventually fill out to welter though with his dimensions.
Imagine a young Sugar Ray today at 135 ? Would be fcuking unreal lol.

Look lets be honest though the guy weighed in at 185 he wasn't a "real" HW. He could have made 175 (MAYBE 168) with todays weigh ins.
Not even remotely close. Marciano was already as fit as humanly possible at the weight of 187, he's known as one of the hardest working fighters ever.
He would smash Robinson out of the ring and unlike against Lamotta, Ray wouldn't get back into the ring in time, maybe not even get back up ever again.
Yea after a handful of fights watching SRR struggle against him tells another story .Marciano not only hit much harder than Lamotta he wasnt a punching bag ,he had very underatted sneaky defense and odd angles at time where the opposition had a hard time hitting him.
