How long the professional career's of All Time Great Fighters:

    Roberto Duran - 33yrs
    Archie Moore - 28yrs
    Willie Pep -- 26yrs

Robert Duran was simply incredible to be able to fight so long.

You can add Hopkins' 27 years and JCC's 25 years to that list. Incredible longevity especially considering some these guys were less than elusive for parts of their career.

I know this is splitting hairs and it is not a question of who fought for the longest..

            Roberto Duran - 33yr 5 months
            Jack Johnson - 33yr 4 months

Because he was the oldest person to win the Heavyweight belt?

I wouldn't say 10 years too long but he should have retired sooner.

Holmes lasted pretty long as he was 52 in his last career fight against Butterbean.
