still not sold on ike. amazing stamina for a big man but only a descent jab and average hand speed. didn't have a real good defense but seemed to take a good shot. he went life and death with a one dimensional tua and I actually scored it a draw. byrd was a great win but it was close up until he caught byrd being ****** against the ropes. ike was a very good fighter and would have probably been a champ today outside of maybe wlad. (slight edge to wlad out boxing him). I just don't get the all time great potential thing with him. he was too untested and I think there's plenty of heavyweights in the past that could have out boxed him. he was solid and strong as an ox but had some flaws that could be exploited by good heavyweights

I remember foreman always saying that liston would never give in and take everything from him in sparring. would have been a great fight but I think foreman would have got to him at some point and knocked him out. would have been some fight tho. both had powerful jabs but nobody has more brute strength than big George had

exactly the way I see it. I could see foreman traiing on the cards for the first few rounds but his brute strength and bigger heart would get to liston imo. mid to late round tko for foreman
