    Sigh!

Pulev put on a brave challenge against Klitschko ?he entered the ring never back-pedaling and going for the win ?but the best thing he did, he only paid one sanctioning body its fee to be able to get the fight. Being the one who got punched in his face, Pulev rightly saved some money for himself.

Michael Buffer (pull the strings) introduced the fight, starting with announcing the Presidents of WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO. Who f*ing cares? Let’s face it, had Pulev won, he had been the world champ in everybody’s eyes ?except for WBA and WBO, who had declared their titles vacant (as for WBC, it apparently never heard of Wlad as they never has recognized him).
In matter of sportsmanship, how can anyone still take “the big four?seriously?

For more than 30 years now, the alphabet suckers have continually ruined the reputation of the boxing sport. Cong****, MMA.

Bernard Hopkins, interviewed in the ring after the Kovalev defeat: “The fans want to see one title, one belt!?/b>

I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean.

The reputation of the sport was considerably worse before the creation of the WBC and WBA than it is now.

Let’s say athletics craved sanction fees ?br />
        2012 London Olympics 100m
        1. Usain Bolt 9.63
        2. Yohan Blake 9.75
        3. Justin Gatlin 9.79

Well, Bolt refused to pay the sanction fees to IAAF, so he’s disqualified.
Blake did, so IAAF insists that he is the rightful winner of the race.
While the splinter group IIAAFF, which only got paid by Gatlin, hands over the gold medal to him.

And if athletics fans were like boxing fans, they'd accept that all three won the race.

Though, they would never accept it.
What puzzles me is, that a lot of boxing fans would.

Boxing is terribly organized today, just as it has always been.

If Pulev had won the fight then most people would haved considered him the heavyweight champ despite having only the IBF (and Ring) title.

As for your example, athletics does live with Olympic champions, World champions and champions of the various different events/races in the calendar.

All sporting governing bodies have to be funded somehow.
