    Anthony Mundine- Place in History?

    Record 45 (27)-5 (2)

Five time world champ at 168 and 154 (Going down in weight which should be accounted for)

Wins over Shane Mosley, Bronco Mckart, Danny Green, Sam Soliman, Nader Hamdan, Daniel Geale.

Where does he rank all time, at 168 and 154 (shallow divisions) ?

    Among Aussie legends?

    Among the p4p scale?

Mosley and McKart were well past their prime but the Green, Geale and Soliman were good wins. Mundine may have those abc titles but not sure he surpassed his dad.

Prime 4 prime, was knocked cold by Sven Ottke..
That just can't be ignored (or justified) He's light years behind Darcy, Sands, Carruthers, Rose, Fenech, Famechon, so I'd stay quiet about Mundine if I was from down under.. Shot Mosley is his best win
Soliman, Geale, Green, McKart, are not legendary wins by a long stretch
I can't recall any good fighters, beaten by Mundine in their prime.. Even Guy Waters and Lester Ellis, were way past it
Credit to Anthony for hanging about in 2 weight divisions, 14lbs apart, for so long, but never really made the most of his talent imo

He will be remember for his era, but he is not going down as some great historic boxer,,

Like Mickey Malone stated, dude got iced by ottke,,, I just dont see history being very kind to him 20-30 years from now

Let's get clear and real; a more experienced Danny Geale convincingly equalled that particular score and there are losses in there against the exciting but less then stellar, Garth Wood (barely out of his nappies as a pro) and the very, very average Manny Siaca. Losing to Kessler is no disgrace; but getting sparked by the pacifist Ottke suggests that 'The Man' was a historical footnote; rather than history in the making.

I'd just about rate him in my Aussie top ten (and I mean just) and even guys like Jeff Harding are well, well above him in my estimation; at least Jeff won on the road against good champions and did not lose any domestic dust-ups.

Mundine's colossal, clueless and endlessly yapping mouth has always compensated for his less than brilliant talent and legacy.

Could the same, honestly be said about Mundine?

I rate harding higher than mundine,, Harding was not a spectacular ATG fighter, but was a very solid guy and i rate him higher than mundine,
