Did anyone see this tonight? I did, really liked it, nice tributes to Gatti, great career stories of both fighters. Just too bad Arturo isn't around to see it or be interviewed for it. I don't believe he took his own life either. Anyway, what did you guys think of it?

Legendary Nights: Gatti-Ward Trilogy

I haven't seen the program but it was definitely a great trilogy, slightly underrated in my opinion simply because it wasn't fought at the highest level of the sport and what was on the line was pride rather than anything of note in terms of titles, and number one rankings.
But take nothing away from what these men did, Mickey went to hell and back with one of the hardest hitting guys in the sport. It was great fun. Mickey once said, years after the trilogy was a beautiful memory that, "Gatti was my greatest rival but also my greatest friend". It's only in boxing that men who aim to beat each other endless can go get a drink when it's all over.

Honestly, i thought it ****** for a legend nights,,,,, It was more about their friendship, then the actual fight,,,
Was a great documentry but i have seen alot better legendary nights, like chavez-taylor, foreman-moore, etc

most memorable part was when they showed the crime scene photos of a dead gatti,,,
That caught me off guard, it was pretty graphic

They shouldnt have used the legendary nights title, and instead called it the gatti-ward documentry or something like that
