He seemed invincable did anyone give him trouble?

Not that i'm aware, there is the footage of A-Pry beating him as an amateur, but take their amateur bout with a grain of salt.

      No, not really.

No one had ever pushed him. He had some longer fights, but was never in danger of losing.

Cuevas was obviously an extremely dangerous fighter, but Tommy knocked him out before Pipino could take him into deep waters.

I couldn't agree more. It was his first big test as a pro. With Cuevas' rep and KO record prior to that fight, Hearns faced and slew the dragon in short order and in stunning fashion!

That and Foreman-Frazier are the two most impressive title winning fights that I've ever seen. Hearns looked unbeatable that night.

Hearns hadnt been in deep waters yet in a competitive fight,,,

he did have a great amateur background and had faced legit pro competition before the leonard fight...

Tommy was just so good, he made short work out of very good fighters early in his career circa 79-81

And I believe Hearns and his camp thought he was invincible at the time.
He did dominate Leonard, as he had done with everybody else, in those early rounds, sparkling of self-confidence.
A reminder of Foreman vs Ali.

I remember Weston doing well against Hearns but he suffered an eye injury during the bout and had to retire! Harold was a clever little dude who gave problems to alot of guys!
Tommy never fought anyone of note and Leonard was easily the best opponent he faced to date!
He did loose some fights to Aaron in the amatuers but everyone lost to Prior back then. Prior was much more mature than Tommy or Leonard or Davis back then. Ray.

Harold Weston gave him some problems, and Randy Shields had his moments against Tommy, but not nobody else.
