Contrary to the views of a few, "lucky" punches - though rare - do exist (or have uccured). There are certain scenarios and circumstances under which they can and have happened.
I won't go into a complete dissertaion except to say that the luckiest KO punches uccur when a losing fighter nails his opponent shortly before the ref stops the carnage or his corner throws in the towel.
Had Davey Moore KO'd Roberto Duran just before that fight was stopped, that would've been a lucky punch.

Marquez-Pacquiao 4 was a great counterpunch, not luck. That was timing and countering skills, two things Marquez is known for.

Before someone complains, these are lucky because even though the punches were thrown with the intention in mind, they all landed so advantageously because of the movements of the opponent in order to allow for one punch knockouts. I consider most, if perhaps not all, one punch knockouts to be lucky.

For me there was some luck in Juans landing his counter on Manny. Manny was very deep inside by the time the punch landed it was late coming but had enough to stop Manny because he wasn't securely on the matt!(feet)
The set up was a typical move against a southpaw and its a move everyone works on when against an agressive lefty! To me there was some luck that it landed and was effective! Years ago everyuone talked about the Joe Louis 6" punch but the Juans 2" punch was the bomb. Ray
