    Lost to don king

Azumah Nelson vs JCC was Don King the reason this superfight never happened? If so what other great fights did he stand in the way of?

You're right about Tyson-Foreman, but Tyson-Holyfield was already signed and announced when Tyson was indicted for ****.

Well if Tyson would've beaten Douglas, the Holyfield fight still would've happened. Could they have fought sooner?

Other promoters have kept their fighters from fighting each other too. Why do you think Pernell and Meldrick never fought? It wasn't like they wouldn't have fought each other. It was business.

That's right. I remember I bought a few items like a shirt and cup promoting the fight. Once Tyson was indicted the fight was cancelled promotional items were pulled off the counter. I saved them in case they were worth something some day.

Tyson-Holyfield was going to happen once Mike beat Buster. Holyfield was actually on that plane with Tyson to and from Japan. Then (like TBear said) after Holy won the title, they actually held a press conference with a big promotional sign for their fight. You can probably find it on Google.

Whitaker and Taylor were close friends, and of course Olympic teammates. It was said that they had no interest in fighting each other. Now I'm not sure if it was them saying it or Main Events Promotions saying it.

How do you think that would have gone down? I still see Holyfield winning, but by a close decision. When they actually did finally fight I thought it would be a UD win for Holy.
