Was Aaron Pryor the unluckiest fighter ever

I was reading an article-they had pulled alot of the info from wikipedia, so not sure how accurate it is,,,

it stated that he was offered a duran fight, but his lawyer didnt want him to sign till a new deal was worked out with pryor's manager,, by the time that was done, duran had moved on

then that pryor had a deal with SRL to fight, but then SRL had his detached retina

later he was suppose to get a big fight vs mancini but then mancini lost to honeygan

Those would have been 3 classic fights, and aaron missed out on them,,,

    Is he the unluckiest fighter

how do you guys think that those fights would have gone...

He was very unlucky but he would have won all the big fight opportunities that he could have been given.

Pryor would have made easy work of leonard and it would have been quick.

SRL wasnt easy work for anyone in his prime,,, maybe srl that fought norris and camacho,, but not early 80's SRL

Sugar ray leonard was afraid of Aaron Pryor. Leonard would have said no mas if he ever fought Pryor in the ring.

If he was afraid then why did he offer the fight twice to pryor,,, SRL wasnt afraid of crazy duran, monster hearns, or the powerful hagler,, yet he was afraid of the smaller pryor, and yet he offered him the fight twice,,,,,,

SRL detached retina was the only thing that stopped it,,, Do you think SRL intentionally detached his retina to dodge pryor...

            ...
Yeah, that really seals the deal for me. Can't argue with this.

But what about the fights he missed,,,, duran, srl, mancini

i think he loses a close war with duran,,, i think pryor would hit the deck from duran's counters, and duran would win a wild decision

SRL plays it safe and outpoints Pryor in a close fight

Mancini gets stopped mid rounds by pryor,, not enough skill to keep pryor off of him

Leonard would have kicked his a$$ and a lot quicker than you think too. Aaron Pryor never fought anyone nearly as good as Leonard at 147.

Pryor had a massive stroke of luck in not being banned for taking stimulants in the Arguello fight, so no, I wouldn't say he's the unluckiest fighter ever.

                    Hilarious.

                    Leonard would have destroyed Pyror.

If Leonard was so afraid why did he offer him he fight and Pyror turned it down.
