Won't speak ill of the dead, but he was awful to watch and will never be forgiven for what happened with Ali.
Dont know about theworst, but he's in that mix.
Eh, I don't blame Berbick for the Ali fight: I figure that was Ali's own damn fault for hanging around too long. What I do blame Berbick for is being a tomato can level fighter who lucked into an alphabelt.

It's ok, i was speaking for myself.. Ali after Holmes was'nt mentally well enough to be make decisions .. Anyone could see he was ill. I never disliked Berbick personally, but his rep's been enhanced by a win of low moral standing example 'who is Berbick?', but, 'i know he's beaten Ali' ...
To answer the above question directly, I'd have to say he was the vehicle by which Mike Tyson replaced Floyd Patterson as the youngest man to win the heavyweight title.
How good (or bad) was he? I wouldn't know, as the only fight I've seen him in, he was being battered from pillar to post by Iron Mike. In defeat, I thought he was rather courageous as he fought back as best he could, before the ref halted the proceedings in the 2nd. round.
Had he been a more compelling figure to this observer, I would watch more of his fights, but I reman indifferent. Nevertheless, may he RIP.
