One fighter with the 'greatest timing' isnt a thing.

At the upper tier there is no visible difference. Itll all be subjective.

On the upper tier I would put Arguello, Mayweather, Whitaker, Duran, Chavez, Louis, Robinson, Charles.

      I could fill a library.

i would go for julian jackson when it comes to knowing when to throw a clean shot to the jaw. its hard because the boxers reflexes/hand speed come in to it, roy jones could land a clean left hook almost at will when he was at his best, but it was a combination of reflexes, hand speed as well as timing that gave him that ability. but julian jackson from what iv seen has landed the most clean 1 shot ko shots, and i think he has one of best timings in those respects.

Sugar Ray easily, the only man who could short step back and land with power as his opponent stepped in! Master boxer who had power and landed huge amounts of combinations! Fast feet & hands thats why he's the greatest fighter of all time! No one comes close! Ray

Sugar Ra by a mile..the only boxer who could time a punch stepping in or stepping back, and still knock you out with either hand...a fabolous counter puncher as well as offensive fighter.

Joe Louis had a great sense oftiming too, most of his knock outs came from eerily well timed punch.

And lastly ali's knock out of Foreman had to more to do with George being tired than Ali knocking him out.
