I don't even think the US has a handballteam at all anyway.

Hmmm.... We are probably talking about 2 different sports. There's handball and then there's handball. Just as there's football and then there's football.

He won a whole bunch of titles

ESPN has close to 20,000 fights, many of them have not been seen since they originally happened.

It saddens me but Espn is now sitting on all those old msg fights as well as the early years of top rank boxing that had many amazing cards. Mean while ESPN Classic is content airing Tyson knocking out Steve Zouski over and over and over again.

            Poor Steve Zouski.
ESPN On Demand currently is showing "Classic Butterbean".

The story about the Moore fight is true; at least, I read it years ago in an interview with D'Amato. He believed that he could study Moore's style and train a guy to beat it, provided that the guy was a good enough athelete. Jim jacobs was considered the best handball player in the world at the time and was a boxing fan, so he was the guy. I think the reason it never happened is that Jacobs came to his senses.
By the way, Jim Jacobs was born and raise in the part of LA that is now considered Watts, if my memory is correct, though it might have been a bit north, in South-Central.

A very interesting man I also believe he had the world's most valuable comic book collection.

Big Fights inc is still being run by Steve Lott isn't it?. He uploads some nice footage on his youtube channel. Not sure how much of the old collection he still has though but he also started up a boxing museum.

Why? Do they think people won't watch the other fights they have? Why buy them and not air them? And if they never air them, will they be lost forever or would any other collectors out there have them?
