I saw Tommy hearns live at the Inglewood Forum in the early 90s...I thought that he had a real nice left hook, which was the punch he used to ko Kemper morton in the 2nd round. When it landed the guy behind me was returning from the snack bar with some beers and an ice cream cone. When he threw his arms in the air he dropped them down the back of my chair.

The Beatles?? No !! I've seen the Stones (1965) , they stink live then again in 1975 Stevie Wonder opened for them and blew them off the stage! They really stink individually, amazing how a controled session in a studio can work for limited talent! . Sound like a garage band!!! Ray

i saw the flintstones too ray. i just dont brag about it. nah, but u seen stevie wonder as an opening act? wow, musta been a helluva show man. i saw duran leonard 1 not live but on an old cable type thing called ON tv, ppv for like 10 bux which was like 50 is these days. my impression was the little guy was grapplin n bending up the other guy winning most of the rounds by a little because it seemed like ray wasnt used to being hit. then later in the fight seems like ray gets on track and looks like he has what takes to beat duran so duran starts clowning and plays it off. now at the final bell ray throws his hands up and when roberto sees this he shoves ray and looks like he says me! i won!. then it lookslike to me that he sees wilfred benitez at ringside and yells at him while tapping his genitals with his glove. they announc the fight as a split or majority decision in french for roberto of course. saw some other fights live but on tv but i'll have to tell u later

I saw Duran in a non title fight (vs Javier Ayala) at the Sports Arena in LA. Duran jumped on him from the opening bell and pounded on the tough clubfighter the entire 10 rounds. It became somewhat repetitious to be honest.

Had to think about this and did a little peeking on the "records site" I don't remember the dates.
Duran; In the Garden against Palimino (guessing 78)
............Edwin Viruet at the old Nassua Col. (guessing 75?)
...........in Gleasons training a number of times and at an awards dinner I think it was for Pep in New York.
Lenard; In the Hartford Civic Center against Vinny DeBarros 77'
..........Uttica Ny (I think Floyd Mayweather was on the undercard too) Ray fought Randy Milton from Somers Prison and got all he wanted for a few rounds then the prison legs were gone!
New Haven C. C. maybe his 7th fight! He trained the last 9 days of his prep at my gym. He fought an "unretired" Javier Muniz who had just got his nose fixed and when Ray broke it for him he bailed. (total mismatch) Javier didn't weight 130lbs.
Hagler; Walter Brown Arena 74ish don't remember who he fought.
......................Hartford C.C. 77/78 again don't remember the opponent.
.....................Boston Garden Mikie Colbert (pretty good fighter)
..........Cumberland C.C. Maine. Jaime Thomas on Haglers birthday 5/26/79 with Jamie leaving early!!! Good cake and a better time at the Ramada!! HA!
Thats what I can remember there may have been another Hagler show I was on but hell its a while back and back then we didn't take pictures!! hahahaha
Hearns; never saw Tommy live, I did see him sparring with Marlon Starling at the Kronk gym and Moochie was a surprise to Tommy and Manny! I don't think Starling was invited back HA!!! Seems long ago, I guess it is. Ray

Speaking of the fab four, I heard that Ali once took a photo with the Beatles, where he was knocking them all down with one punch and then, when the shoot was over and they left asked someone "who were those f aggots?" Did Ali really say that and really not know who the Beatles were?
