Vitali marginalized Sanders so he didn't need to.

I wouldn't say Wlad ducked the rematch, I would definitely say he benefited from the circumstances. Both brothers have done so very intelligently and very subtly.

Sanders relinquished his WBO belt because the WBC promised him a shot at the WBC #1, Vitali. Sanders also entered into a long-time legal fight with Wlad's promoter Universum as Sanders tried to get around the options Universum had on him, hence a rematch never happened.

I don't believe Wlad avoided Sanders or all those other punchers, his management did. Smart thing to do.
