Agreed. He was a complete fighter in that fight....and it makes you wonder if any 135lber could have beaten him on that night.

What was Duran's greatest win as lightweight?
In a direct answer to the question/thread title above, I'd have to say when he TKO'd Buchanan to win the title. As for his greatest win as champion, I'd have to go with the tie-breaker of the trilogy with arch-rival Esteban DeJesus.
But there are other victories deserving of honrable mention:- His KO of Leoncio Oritz, a tough southpaw who gave him trouble until the fateful 15th.
- Lou Bizzarro who was on his bike all fight until Duran finally caught to to him in the 14th.
- His epic struggle with Ray Lampkin before flattening him with a left upper to the jaw in the 14th.

I'm not going to consider a fight that ended with a punch to the balls as anyone's greatest performance.
Was Buchanan better than DeJesus? Maybe. But, the Duran who beat DeJesus was a better all around fighter than the one who beat Ken B....and it was a more convincing performance.

I give that win to Buchanan cementing his place as a Top 3 LW and Top 10 ATG.
Without it he'd only be top 20.
