15 rounds of Hagler and Hearns > 3 rounds of Hagler and Hearns.

Fifteen rounds of their pace was not possible.

You liked Hagler-Duran better than Hagler-Hearns? One fight went down as a dud, the other is the one that you hear NFL broadcasters comparing games to....27 years later.

      SBleeder...

I am picturing you turning on a boxing match and screaming "What are they doing? They are hurting each other with those hard punches. Stop, guys....throw 'em lighter!"

I don't want to see that pace. That's my point.

And if you think Hagler-Duran was a dud... I feel sorry for you.

No... I say "Show me some f$#$#ing defense."

"And if you think Hagler-Duran was a dud... I feel sorry for you."

It was a dud, considering the expectations....and was widely considered a dud at the time if you'd care to go back and see what was said.

Hagler fought far more tentatively than I and many others expected or hoped. Worked out for you, though- his tightness and thinking too much resulted in him not fighting the way he should have...thus you got your 15 rounds without anyone getting hurt.

So, if guys are getting hit it's because they aren't showing defense? Should they not punch since that leads to them being open at times, or maybe not commit to their shots?

I personally thought hagler hearns was a more exciting fight than hagler duran which I did not feel was dull at all. Marvin had every opportunity to come towards duran and blow him out which is what the commentators said he claimed he would do if he felt he was much stronger than duran. Duran did inflict some damage as haglers left side of his face was swelled up pretty good from durans right hads. Not the best fight but it was in a class with leonard hagler despite the drama of leonard getting the nod.

I never had a problem watching Winky Wright or Wladimir Klitschko fight, but Andre Ward just bores the **** out of me. It's actually a compliment to him because his style renders his opponents totally ineffective. It's just excruciating for me to watch. Same with Hopkins (usually).

Maybe the KO's on his record is attributable to him boring his opponents to sleep.

I see. I used to feel the same way about Hopkins sometimes and Jones. I didn't start watching their fights until recently and will probably go through both career sets again whenever they finally retire for good, which is hopefully soon.
