    Eubank - Calzaghe (Dying Seconds)

Just read Eubank's autobiography and he contends that he nearly had Calzaghe out in the final seconds? I myself have not seen the fight but for the knock down. can anyone else clarify?
i would have thought that if calzaghe was that badly shaken there would have been calls for a rematch.
    Your thoughts?

There is good old Chris talking more **** again. I wonder if he thinks that if he continously says lies that maybe they become true?

Eubank had Calzaghe out on his feet almost in the last 10 seconds, if the fight had gone 10 seconds longer then Eubank would of won.

Calzaghe was already the British Champion. He was fast, heavy-handed and a Southpaw. He had demolished all but one of his opponents inside the distance-he was viewed as a champion in waiting. The bout was equally as fascinating as the Collins fight had looked, and proved to be every bit as exciting as was hoped. The younger and fresher Welshman made his mark within seconds by sending Eubank flying across the ring with a brutal left cross. Seeing the iron jawed old champion on the deck was a rarity indeed and the talented Welsh-Italian set about Eubank for the remainder of the round. There would be no let up. Using an intense, high energy and accurate attack the Welsh-Italian pounded the Brighton man for round after round. Fighting desperately and with amazing depths of courage, Eubank covered himself in glory by lashing back at his tormentor with huge single punches, in the process testing his co-challengers own will, chin and resolve. Eubank touched down again late on but had a great moment in the dieing seconds of the final round when a savage left hook right hand combination had Calzaghe out on his feet for a moment. In true British Super-Middleweight tradition, it had been a remarkable fight, once more displaying the all round ability of the then up coming Calzaghe.

But at no point was calzaghe in danger of losing the fight because even if eubanks had floored him he would have still had the opportunity to get up. and as i remember calzaghe had won it hands down and even two knockdowns wouldnt have won it for him. And he obviously has recovery power seeing as in his first Knockdown he got right back up and knocked the guy out in the same round, and the second time he got knocked down he got back up and later floored the guy and won by SD.

And JUYJUY also likes to point out that Eubanks was old then, well calzaghe is now almost two years older then eubanks was in that fight and he is still undefeated. And other then luciano torres, eubanks was calzaghe first step up, not to mention in only his 23rd pro fight.
