    Dont see the likes of Dawson who can be Lazy in fights remember ..Sorry i just cant put my head or heart in Dawson outpointing the much busier more skillful Calzaghe ...UD to Calzaghe .

    I don't think anybody has ever used the word slick to described Calzaghe, because quite frankly, the guy was anything but slick. Fraud, yes, slick? No.

        Calzaghe was a very good fighter. a great ABA fighter (one of the greatest i believe) and a very good world champion that always found a way to win !
        Only haters hate on him, real boxing fans know how good he was !
        The man could fight and he did something Dawson couldnt in getting the win over Hopkins who tried to beg cheat and steal to stop Calzaghe winning..all to no avail of course

            Well, Calzlapghe IS better than the fraud in your avatar. Apart from that he's just another Brit who avoided being horizontal by avoiding any opponent with a pulse.

            PS. Eurofrauds do NOT have a pulse. Nor do the washed-up.

                Calzaghe slaps the **** out of him all night, wide UD. Different class of fighter.

                  It's amazing what some people will try to pass off as fact.

                    I think Calzaghe would beat him by Decison.

                    Another question;

                    If Dawson beats Hopkins on saturday what else does he have to do to equal or surpass Calzaghe's resume?

                    I mean, Dawson's win over Adamek is about as good as Calzaghe's win over Kessler.

                    Glen Johnson x2 is better than Calzaghe's win over Jeff Lacy.

                    And 43 Hopkins > 46 Hopkins (Just about)

                    So really, and rather embarrasingly, If Dawson wins on Saturday he really isn't far off Calzaghe's resume, IMO.

                    Dawson, on the other hand I feel is and still would be no where near HOF calibur if he wins on Saturday.

But there have been a few threads on here about Joe recently and it got me thinking about him.

                      So I just want to pose one question: If he hadn't retired in 2009 and instead decided to fight Chad Dawson, which had been mooted, what would the outcome have been?
                      Right now I would favor Calzaghe by a close decision. I might change my mind after the Hopkins fight.
