Tim Witherspoon is my favourite out of that motley crew and i think he was probably the best of the bunch aswell

Witherspoon was the best. Tucker, Thomas, and Dokes all had talent and wasted it.

I used to like Greg Page then and even copy some of his style.Dokes,Tillman.

I liked Witherspoon, Dokes & Page about the same. Sure wish I could have seen Dokes vs Page. I've often wondered who would have won that fight.

I liked David Bey also, and Mitch Green. And don't laugh, but I also liked Bernardo Mercado!

I like most all of them most of the time. Some not mentioned that were entertaining were Mike Weaver, Bonecrusher and Gerrie Coetzee.

Tim Witherspoon was the best, but Greg Page definitely had the most talent of all of them.Dokes, Tucker, Green,Williams, Tillis, and Snipes weren't bad in spurts, and Pinklon Thomas, for a couple of fights, was nice.

Frank Bruno was easily one of the most entertaining, one of the hardest working too. Never turned up flabby, overweight and had no battles with drugs....well at least in the 80s!!

He only lost three times in the decade (was ahead on points in two of them at the time of stoppage to Bonecrusher Smith and Tim Witherspoon). He certainly hurt Tyson too early on too.

I can't believe he hasn't been mentioned yet!

Witherspoon and Tubbs were the most talented imo. Pinklon was nr 3 but his prime was too short. Page was a very good amateur but as a pro just didn't click. And he fouled Coetzee to win that title, his sole achievement as a pro! The round had ended long ago too when the stoppage came, disgraceful refing. Coetzee was a very talented boxer and could hit well too, but his hand injuries ruined his career.

Mike "Hercules" Weaver was the most entertaining of them tho. His late round stoppages were classics, just as you thought he was finished he'd end the fight suddenly! He had awesome left hook.
