Listen....I thoroughly enjoyed my chat with him. He was incredibly friendly, and certainly didn't big time me.

I made sure I told him how incredible I thought Ring ****zine was when he ran it, and how much I loved Boxing Illustrated the years he ran it.

Did you ever read his ****zine "Bert Sugar's Fight Game" ???

It came out after he was done w/ BI, it was like Bert's last attempt at a boxing mag.

My problem was the price, it was $5 an issue...

I had a few issues of it. It was good, but not on par with the others.

Do you remember your very first ****zines? I do......and what was great was my mother worked for a company that was the ****izine distributor for Philadelphia and southern New Jersey, so I got them for free for years.

The first one I ever had was with Larry Holmes on the cover (in the middle), with action shots of Ali, Louis, Dempsey....and the featured story was how Larry would do against all the heavyweight champs of the past.

I have to go with HenryH on this forum, Yogi is a good poster as well from past threads I look at but, he left as I arrived. TheGreatA is also very knowldegeable and his videos are great, also from Archives I do like M26's and Kid Achellies posts especially in the fantasy fights thread.

We had a little debate over Mosley's jab He was pretty adament it would factor in the fight. As opposed to my view that it would have next to no factor.

We spoke on a few things, not too much really.
I get to see bugger all celebrities down here, nup, not many at all.

On the internet, TheGreatA by far. This guy could probably recite boxing matches that happened in the 20's round by round with fighters I've never even heard of. He also has an amazing collection of vintage fights on youtube.

Burt Sugar is a tricky one, he obviously knows a lot about the history of boxing but does he KNOW boxing? His stories usually focus around urban legends that happened outside of the ring which is great for entertainment. His boxing knowledge is way up there but i'd hardly call his books boxing bibles.

                  You spelled Knowlodge wrong.

                  Talk about irony.

                      boxing the act:
fighters and trainers, and usually in reverse order.

knowledge is about communicating. that's what makes it real (other than implementing it of course, in the case of the fighter)
