Point Contest: Do fighters have less heart now?

most fighters fight for money now. they just want to make money and not to fight. Heres an article that supports this point of view

Definetly, its natural in todays boxing climate, toughness isnt so important any more

I personally don't think this is true.

Maybe less toughness but, as far as will goes, I don't think it's got any worse.

Fighters used to box in 110 degree heat, 15 rounds with tiny gloves.

Pacman blamed one of his loses on wearing the wrong socks.

people were jsut tougher back then in general...

growing up in the depression it was survival of the fittest...

you prob had brothers and sisters that died and u survived cause u were the toughest...

u couldnt make excuses cause no one wanted to hear u *****....

but the the toughest guys are the guys that have a chip on their shoulder or they have to much pride too loose...

when pac made those things up aboout his toe it was jsut to make him feel like morales was a better fighter had had to have some reason for losing besides "hes a better fighter than me" otherwise he would lose confidence....

          yes people arent as tough.

There are still tough boxers with lots of heart today, but back in the 50's 60's and 70's they almost ALL had it.
