It's impossible to say how Young Griffo would dare.

Fair to assess that he was a good fighter but when we're talkin fantasy match ups it's impossible to say.

I am over fantasy matchups these days, done. They are meaningless trips of make believe. The only lists that count are those between contemporaries, end of story, so any so called all time top this or that lists are total rubbish, should be used as toilet paper. The only fights that matter are those that happened, all else speculation, I have seen too much boxing to ever believe anyone unbeatable in fact sport in general, it cannot be properly predicted what will happen.... there is an old saying that goes ... "what can happen will happen"........................... What I now believe about Griffo is that he must be the greatest fighter of any weight in his prime, that means I am saying he is the best, the number one, the supremo of the 1890's, no one comes close to what he did during that decade...... does anything else matter ? why does it matter if some guy says "well I don't think he stands a chance against Henry Armstrong"..... well that is nonsense, Griffo was DEAD and Armstrong alive....... also Henry's day was very different to Griffo's day, bigger gloves many less rounds, radio, film...... dare I say it... moviestars and cars.
