Which of these Heavyweights would give Joe Louis Trouble?

In order 1-4 and why you think so.
Here are the Heavyweights: Ken Norton, Floyd Patterson, George Foreman(young), Joe Frazier.

i think Floyd Patterson would pose the most problems for Joe Louis due to Pattersons excellent speed and boxing skills which are better than what Billy Conn had and he caused Louis huge problems.

Conn's movement & comprehensive technique were the main strikeweapons he used to (narrowly) out-point Louis through twelve rounds...Patterson was completely a different fighter, & I don't see him being anything better than number-4 on this list.

The young Foreman is easily the most dangerous fight. I still would favour Louis, but there is an excellent chance (I would have it at something like 58-42 Louis, in terms of a 100-point scale) that Foreman gets him out of there early.

I may surprise a few people here, but I will contend Norton would be the next biggest challenge. Though his chin was far from the fragile thing it is often falsely reputed to be, he was vulnerable to any elite-level offensive fighter, & Louis was as good as they come. Still, it could prove a tricky fight. Norton was wild & Louis would most likely make him pay, but I can see an outside shot at him hassling & frustrating Louis with activity & aggression, before ultimately succumbing to the KO.

After Patterson, Frazier is the easiest assignment. I give Frazier only a very small shot indeed of escaping the first two-to-four rounds. Louis would capitalise hard & fast, IMO. Frazier couldn't survive Foreman's power & while Louis hits with similarly devastating results, he is much more precise & swift with his shots. He cuts Frazier out of the contest before we see the best Smokin' Joe has to offer. The Brown Bomber in four.

      Hardest To Easiest...

      1. Foreman
      2. Norton
      3. Frazier
      4. Patterson

I'm a little on the fence about Norton and Frazier myself, but pretty much George would be the hardest, and poor Patterson gets knocked out. I just don't think Floyd could deal with Joe's power... He could have been one of those falling while Joe's walking away even.

I think Forman would take hard shots and get hurt. I think Louis was better then Forman at landing his hard shots, and Forman might have a harder time hitting Louis. Actually think Formas style is wrong to beat Louis.

I think Patterson might not have a good enough chin to fight Louis, and Louis would eventualy catch him with something hard imo.

I give Frazier the best chance because he is tough and hard to hit and hits hard himself.

Never been that impressed with Norton but I have not seen that many of his fights.

          1. Frazier

          2. Patterson

          3. Forman

          4. Norton

Foreman is clearly the hardest assignment for Louis. His power alone is a threat, id still back Joe but theres the very real Chance he gets knocked out.

Frazier i think would be the next most dangerous fight, i can see him being stopped fairly early but really bringing it while it lasts. Tough fight but im confident Louis has this one

I have a feeling Norton might last the distance for some reason but i like Joe big

Patterson i thought about rating higher due to his speed and the fact Conn really troubled Louis but when i really think about it they are totally different fighters. Patterson gets knocked out by the better fighter in around 5 or 6

I think they all would give Louis some problems with Foremen being the most difficult. I think Patterson would be the least difficult.
