Kid Kaplan from the Ukraine / Russia and Kid McCoy from America are the earliest Kids I can think of, then there is Kid Berg from England and I'm sure some others which I can't think of atm, all of which are from before the Cuban 'kids'.

Another I like is "Fighting" Harada for the pure simplicity.
