    Do You Agree With Holyfield?

    #2
Yes i agree with Holyfield, he should carry on fighting unto he feels it is time to call it a day and if he gets himself into a challenging position he should be given a title fight.

Yes i do but it would haved been so much better if they didn't rob him of the history making performance when he fought the giant Valuev and instead the WBA robbed him blind.

Holyfield has been robbed on a couple of occasions, he claims he was robbed of the titles in his rematch with Lennox Lewis and was robbed of regaining the title against Nikolay Valuev. i would like to see him get a shot against David Haye as i feel he can win that fight.

Holyfield, despite the claims of his marketing, is really only a two-time World's Heavyweight Champion. He was the man when he knocked out Douglas, & again when he decisioned Bowe, but everything else should be recognised for the partial, non-linear value it has. The whole, "only four or five-time World HW Champ," or whatever number he's upto now is really paper-thin advertising. There would've been nothing, "history-making," in getting the decision against Valuev, IMO (which he should've received, by rights).

I would like to see him fight haye. I think the old man has something left deep within him.

And every great champion has one good fight still left in him.

Holyfield's was his rematch with Lewis. He was an old Champion then, & that was his, "last great performance."

It was more than a decade ago. Pop in a DVD of him against Dokes, or Douglas, or Bowe, & compare it to what we see today. There isn't even a word for how shot he is.

agreed. the number of times Holyfield has been a 'Champion' is hilarious.

Holyfield is so much worse than he used to be...I cannot believe he deserved the decision against Valuev. insane.

Evander had some serious wear and tear as a fighter by the time he was in his early to mid 30's in the mid 90's. By the late 90's he was already an old lion with a couple decent fights left in him (Lewis fights)
During the last decade, he has just gone to a whole new level of being shot. It is insane that he is still fighting full stop.
