ESPN classics showed the Bowe Holyfield fights not too long ago. They also have Rocky Marciano days, Tyson days, Henry Armstrong, etc...
ESPN Classics has them all.

And the decline of NSB is also how I ended up here. To be honest I would prefer discussing the current or future of boxing rather than the past.

Ali-Frazier I, March 1971 ~ Battle of the Century
I watched many heavyweight fights up to about the Tyson era and many were memorable. But this was the most anticipated fight of all. We did not have cable or satellite TV in those days but the fight was broadcasted on radio. One could sense a tremendous amount of tension and excitement in the air all throughout the broadcast.
Just a short while later the fight was presented on TV. Somehow, it felt like it was a live event! Both fighters gave it their best. Soon enough a new expression would emerge from the three fight series - when a big showdown occurred in any sport, if it was a highly anticipated and well contested match, it would be called an 'Ali-Frazier' event. That tells you what an impact this fight and series had on the sport scene.
