Could Of Past Fighters Been Greater, With Diets, Vitamins, Strength & Conditioning?

Lets say the likes of Robinson, Louis, Langford, Johnson, Armstrong, Greb etc would of ate the right foods at the right times, done strength & conditioning progams by qualiifed trainers & took vitamins and recovery/protien drinks?

Could of they have been greater, more destructive fighting machines, with all these things? Or wound't it make a blind bit of a difference?

I think it would have made a notable difference, but not a huge one...What if it made the old heavyweights fat like ours today O.o XD

These things may have helped a little bit.

But I think many boxers of today would be better if they did not grow up around t.v and computer's, video games, fast food. And an over all softer life.

It definitely would have helped. There would be no drastic mind blowing changes, just overall slightly better.

Fighters of the past had better training regimens and better diets. And who cares about vitamins?

Boxers in the early 20th Century frequently fought for forty rounds. How many fighters today couldn't even fight for 15?

The wonderful "strength and conditioning" of the modern era has given us probably the slowest, most un-athletic heavyweight champion in history, who still doesn't hit as hard as fighters from the past who never touched a barbell.

Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, Harry Greb, etc., would beat the living piss out of anyone today.

                  Agreed.

I think many fighters of the past trained harder regardless, which helped iron out any real perceivable differences between the eras down to better wealth of knowledge regarding diet and training methods. You couldn't say that the modern middleweight greats fought at a better pace than Robinson or even Cerdan for that matter.

I think the best benefit to the fighters of the past from the current time in history would be the availability of good quality fight films with which to study opponents, styles and techniques.

I dont think it would have, they didnt have those things so much back then meaning they trained harder using old school methods and imo it didnt do them any harm
