    Totally agree.

    Roy Jones at middleweight,
    Meldrick Taylor
    Mosley
Srl (olympic version was probably fastest i ever saw)
    Norris
Camacho (hit like a b*tch though)
    Ali
    Tyson
    Mayweather
    Whitacker.

That is my order.....Calzaghe does not pull his punches back. they are so soft even camacho hit harder than he did. So I give Calzaghe 0 credit. Had he fougght Prime Roy jones, he would have seen speed, and been stopped around 3-4 rounds.

Prime Roy at Middleweight was the fastest professional fighter I have ever seen.

Camacho hit like a *****? LOL. not a chance.

sometimes he fought like a chicken, but he had power, without a shadow of a doubt.
it was mostly mental with him.

Well, I'm left in awe of the way he's able to connect, not so much his speed. Toney, at his best was really ****ing quick as was Casamayor and Calzaghe. Don't forget that these are big guys and in comparison to most fighters they were like lightning. See, if you watch Pac against guys that aren't actually slow, he's not that much faster. He doesn't look insane against Marquez, Morales or Barrera....faster but not lightning quick.

It's everything he does that makes him awe inspiring. Without the other stuff he does, you would not be left in awe of his speed. It's very good, don't get me wrong, but his speed alone isn't that much better than a lot of guys who are fast.

Really, he doesn't place in the top ten and not near the top five. That's just me though. What sets him apart for me is definitely not his speed. It's his angles, his ability to punch fast but with great power when the other guy least expects it.

Accuracy is completely from hand speed. If it's who has the most accuracy plus hand speed, then James Toney and Floyd Mayweather are the only two top guys today.

They both land ridiculous % and with incredible speed. The title is Boxers with fastest hands. To me, that has very little to do with accuracy. You're right of course that speed means nothing without accuracy but we're not talking about that. We're talking about the fastest hands, not their accuracy.

In relation to other great fighters, he had 0 power. Maybe around the power of whitacker who had 0 power too. His power was not that of a roy jones a middleweight, or peak SRL at welter, etc.

Though I really don't like him, against a stationary target,Toney threw some of the quickest combinations I've ever seen any fighter throw.Even as a cruiserweight this was pretty evident. The pace of the Barkley and first McCallum fight was just unreal - you could barely make out the punches that were landing they were so fast.

Pernell Whitaker is a guy I've always found to be pretty overrated when it came to speed.Perhaps this was due to the fact that he threw his punches in a far more controlled fashion than a Leonard,Hearns,Toney,Jones. But overall,I've never really been in awe of his handspeed when watching him.

Azumah Nelson has always been underrated when it comes to speed also.Does anyone recall the combination he used in his rematch with Mario Martinez to force the ref to step in? Terrific accuracy and speed to pull that one off.
