Considering it's training, his hands are fast, but not superhuman. What's *sick* is the feet/leg movement with every punch, which gives power to every punch.
you are welcome to show me 10 guys who are faster..

I don't think there are too many active fighters faster than Pac-Man. Amir Khan might be, but Pacquiao throws with so much more power that the negligable speed difference is exactly that. Mayweather is as far as one punch is concerned, but combination-wise, Pacquiao blows him away. However, I agree that it's his sick balance and footwork that really kill and there are probably ten pound for pound faster fighters. In the Cotto fight, he was getting timed for the first few rounds. At some points, Cotto looked almost as fast. Then Manny started pulling out tricks like throwing three punch combinations while doubled completely over with one foot on the ground and Cotto just had no answer.

Ten fighters arguably faster (P4P) than Pacquiao: Meldrick Taylor, Roy Jones, Shane Mosley, Macho Camacho, Muhammad Ali, Floyd Patterson, Ricardo Lopez, Pernell Whitaker, Amir Khan and Howad Davis, Jr.

Are you serious? You're showing him messing around with stuff that he doesn't actually use in boxing with no gloves, not hitting anything?

Compare this: In both of these you see them both throwing multiple lead hooks both with gloves, both with the mitts. Both using boxing combinations.

Or, do something even better. Go watch actual fights. That's where you see their real speed. I used to be like lightning in training. Wasn't exactly Ray Leonard in a fight though.

Ten fighters as fast or faster than Pac just in the last ten years or so: Dirrell, Mayweather, Judah, Khan, Guzman, Mosley, Oscar, Calzaghe, Jones, Silence Mabuza, Casamayor, Witter, Berto, Nunn, Toney...blah blah blah

I think most of those are a stretch. I've never watched James Toney or Joel Casamayor and just been left in awe of their handspeed; Pacquiao does that every fight. He's not top 10 I don't think, but Joe Calzaghe? Really?

What does fast hand speed do for you if you can't connect??? Remember this is a boxing forum.

Its only an observation my man. We all know there are other intangibles that go into being a complete fighter, but that doesn't mean the fighters named didn't have this particular intangible in spades.

Calzaghe's tripple right jab was like an impatient epileptic knocking on your door.
P'P'Pop - and as quick as you can say it.

pacs fast but hes not top 5 top 10 though.

sure hes got fast speed but what makes him look really fast is a combination of thing like he'll throw 3 sets of combos with like no time between them and its looks really fast almost to where its say 2 6 hit and a 4 hit but one could almost consider it a 16 hit combo this combined whit his stamina allowing him to string many combos and continue with it through out a fight or training make him look like the fastest boxer ever.

now take any 4 or 6 hit combo from pac and compare it to any 4 or 6 hit combo of srr same speed if not slower from pac, worse timing and strategy.

id put him 7 or 8 maybe.
