the fact that only 7 black or hispanic are in his top 20.and also how he talks about current fighters.

What explains him being the most vocal critic of Gerry Cooney in his time and his hatred for the Klitschko brothers? Actually I've heard people call him a racist against whites for those reasons. I guess you can't ever please everybody, something I've come across myself on these forums.

To me it says a lot more about the people who accuse him about those things than it does about Bert Sugar.

ive never heard him speak on cooney and the klits arent american.

but imo race is the only thing that can explain his ratings cause some of them are just mind boggling

I can possible see Lamotta being greater than Hopkins and maybe Roy Jones(Maye). I think Lamotta does get underrated at times. However, I also think Sugar is overrated him here.

I think Holmes, Foreman, Hagler, Arguello, Jofre, Fitzsimmons, Monzon and Whitaker are clearly greater fighters than Lamotta.
