Yes, you are correct. There was one exchange where Jackson caught him, and afterward he admitted Jackson stun him, but McCallum had such a great chin. One of the most underrated fighters of all time.

You're right the reaction is somewhat reminiscent of the Johnson KO, although I think that Jones sustained as much damage from hitting his head on the canvas as the shot.
