something tyson said about johnson was interesting he was sayin that the way johnson blocks punches would'nt work in modern boxing because more than 1 or 2 shots are thrown at a time
for this reason i think louis who was one of the greatest punches boxing has ever seen would've beaten him
the fact that johnson only ever fought white fighters has to be considered also

I've always thought Louis would win to based on what I've witnessed. But I put a lot of value in Jack Blackburn saying Jonson would have beaten Louis. He would obviously know more than myself no matter what I think of this fight.

Joe Jeannette, Sam McVea and Sam Langford all of which he had a lot of fights with and were the top black boxers of that era, number of others as well but they're the 3 biggies.
I think it depends on how much clinching is allowed. Like Ghost said above Johnson style of deflecting punches with his forearms is a bit too archaic to work effectively against a guy like Louis from a distance. Still if the clinching of Johnson's era is allowed I don't think Louis could solve Johnson's ugly mugging style of fighting.
