Tyson vs Ruddock II: A look back at a great fight

Just watched this fight again recently, I would say it was Mike's last great performance. Strange thing about this fight is that normally Mike comes out fast then starts slowing down from round 5 onwards, but in this fight he was determined to win every round. Its a shame Ruddock never became a hw champ as well, I thought he was a great fighter

Tyson butchered Ruddock in this fight it more or less ended Ruddock as a Top 10 fighter, he was never the same again after having his eye-socket and cheek bone smashed in this fight... some of Tysons punches was awesome, they made a noise like they was putting dents in Ruddocks face.

The fights with Razor were always my favorite. Razor would have been a great fighter had Tyson never been born.

Ruddock was one of my favourite fighters, it was a shame he took such a beating in that fight, he also had legal problems outside which derailed his career as well.

Ruddock should of left his trainer as well, he walks into a fight with Tyson with no jab, no defence, poor footwork, unable to tie up Mike properly on the inside, he was just asking for trouble

Razor needed a better trainer as well, he was basically a slugger who "loaded" up on his punches

I seem to remember a recent interview where Mike said that the Ruddock fights were some of his proudest moments. Mike displayed heart in both of these fights!

Mike said that Razor's punches were like 'mule kicks'!

Had Ruddock been equipped with more than a left hook he would have amounted to much more.
