Muhammad Ali had the best jab in history

Liston had a pole of a jab-long & powerful

Holmes jab was quick but not a lethal weapon

Douglas had a very good jab

it's so deceptively slow that you actually think it's faster then it is and get hit

Lennox had a descent jab...but also the chinnie Klitko brothers ain't bad

Personally I can't decide between Holmes and Liston they both had extremely stiff strong jabs with Liston having the advantage in reach and power and Holmes having the speed.


Douglas had a decent jab but his peak was too short, he didn't have chance to test his jab(while at its best) against different types of boxers and styles.

I think Louis' jab should at least get a mention, his opponents said it was like getting hit with a average persons straight right and I believe he knocked someone out with it. (Can't remember name )

For me it's Ali and Larry Holmes. Of course there are others with great jabs.
