The greater Leonard?

SRL's great wins were Benitez, Duran, Hearns & Hagler. With all due respect how does that even begin to compare with SRR? Both had great names - SRL maybe a little bit better -- but SRR cleaned out the welterweight and middleweight division for 5 years w/o a loss fighting 50+ times.

Are Benitez, Duran, Hearns and Hagler better opposition than Fullmer, Basilio, Graziano, Randy Turpin, (Armstrong was past-prime)? Tough call.

I think he means that Benny Leonard was better than Ray Leonard although it's difficult to say which Leonard he's talking about.

For me it's Benny's greater depth of resume against Ray's perhaps bigger names.
