Spinks opposed to Morrison - Morrison HIV Spinks pure class
Seldon opposed to Mavrovic - about even money fight
Douglas opposed to McCall - Douglas had already beat McCall
PP Holmes opposed to PP Tyson - Tyson KO

Holyfield was "Robbed" in his rematch with Lewis
Tyson fought a prime Tucker, Lewis fought a junkie
Tyson hammered Bruno, Lewis was fortunate vs Bruno
Ruddock was `Damaged Goods` vs Lewis

Tucker fought Lewis before his drug problems
Blame whoever tranquilized him, not Lewis.. What was Williams's excuse?
Tubbs was overweight, Grant was in good shape and undefeated
Thomas had drug problems, and was over the hill.. Briggs was prime
Long before he was diagnosed with HIV.. Spinks was an ageing LHWT
Agreed with Seldon & Mavrovic, although Mavrovic had to be hit to go down
Douglas beat an inexperienced McCall, and not at championship level = Big difference
PP Tyson KO'd by Lewis = same difference
Holyfield was very lucky to get a draw in their 1st fight
Both were wobbled by Bruno, before KOing him
Oh and Ruddock.. I take it you mean after Tyson had ended his career lol

sonnyboy i'd defend your and anyone elses right to state their opinion and respect it but as I have said before I think you have a blind spot for a better phrase re Lewis. We all have them, if someone says Bruno was a great fighter I will in Mickey's immortal words take the phone off the hook and cancel all my plans to have a rant
You challenged me to critisize Ali's record, who anyone but an idiot would say is the strongest resume of any heavyweight and I have put a size 10 boot to it so like I said you can do it to anyone.
I enjoy your non Lewis posts and respect your knowledge but do think you need to take a more balanced view of him to avoid the ridicule to be brutally honest.

GJC.. i have made my opinion of Lennox Lewis felt, i cannot and will not go against what i feel about his oppotunist career and his avoidence of the No1 contenders.. it would be lying if i changed my tune

I and I hope everyone wouldn't want you to go against your sincere belief but I do think that you do stray into giving un-balanced views of every Lewis opponent to
re-inforce your point and I think that is where you invite ridicule.
Sure Lewis fought his share of pups, every fighter has, Ali had his share for sure.
But when you try and downgrade every single opponent Lewis fought you end up nullyfying some of the good points you make and people ignore those points because they feel you have an agenda.
I hope you take this well meant advice unboard because your non Lewis posts are good and you shouldn't have a red bar

GJC i take on board your points.. i have seen Lewis fight live` on several ocasions and at one point i thought he maybe the next great heavyweight champion (Ruddock fight) but then i started to realize that many contenders were being avoided by Lewis and that he always chose to fight the easy option, i lost interest in Lewis after the McCall (2) fight, it then became blatant to me that he was avoiding the top contenders..hence him being stripped of all three belts for refusing to fight the No1 contenders.. i can only put into words how i seen it, for me to claim a fighter is an superhero when i feel he is not would be lying to myself..

please explain to me what the `redbar means`

In fairness Holyfield WAS past-prime when Lewis fought him.....and he was past-prime when he beat Tyson twice. The truth is Holyfield SHOULD have retired 10 years ago and is completely shot today and has been for a long time. Only the pathetic state of the current Heavyweight division keeps him in the mix for relatively high-profile fights.

You may be entitled to your opinion and you may be entitled to express said opinion but you are NOT entitled to have others listen to it and others are equally entitled to laugh at your opinion. Everyone has the right to speak but no one has the right to force others to listen.

Fair comment.. Just trying to dampen the opinions of those who say the Holy who fought Tyson was so much better than the one that fought Lewis..

The Holyfield who fought Tyson was far superior to the one who fought Lewis... Holyfield was ROBBED in his 2nd fight with Lewis... The Tyson who Lewis fought was the same Tyson who Danny Williams & McBride fought

                      Sorry, I'll re-word that..

I agree, the Tyson that fought Lewis was shot to pieces, but even more so against Williams and McBride.. McBride is worse than raw sewage, and I was aghast when he bullied Mike into quitting..

What I was trying to explain, is that the Holyfied who fought Lewis was not a considerably less able fighter, than the Holyfield who fought Tyson..
