    How will history remember Bernard Hopkins?

    Bernard Hopkins has had a very successful career, and the guy is still in the mix.

    Im just not sure how the boxing world will remember his achievements in years to come.

    Will he be a name that people refer to when talking about fight(record) stats?

    Or will he be remembered for a masterful performance in a big fight?

    My thoughts would be with the first option.

    Any thoughts?

    he never lost by a KO.
    and the only one who beat him clearly was roy jones in the 90s.

      Hopkins will be remembered as an ATG, in my opinion. He holds the record for most middleweight title defences and holds wins over many future HOF's.

        I cant remember him even being hurt in any of the fights ive seen him in to be honest.

        His record is outstanding, no doubt about it. I just think people will remember the numbers rather than the fighter and his fights.

            he is a fighter that will be remembered as someone for fighting way past his prime,he should of retired 15 years ago,who manages this guy,he needs someone to give him some sound advise into retiring

              He was still prime 6 years ago...


              Anyways I think he'll be remembered as the second coming of Archie Moore, in a greatness and longevity sense. Also for having to wait so long to get his due recognition.

                He will be remembered mostly for his longevity I think. The level at which he fights at his age is incredible.

                  Segundo Mercado hurt him in their first fight, knocking him down and on his back. Wasn't called a knockdown by one of the most inept referees I've ever seen. Actually, the ref missed a couple of knockdowns in that fight. Hopkins had shown up in Quito, Ecuador the day before the fight, very unprofessional fashion for a grueling test of stamina at almost 10,000 feet above sea level.

                  My old classmate Antwun Echols also hurt him considerably in the closing seconds of the 12th round of their first fight. Hopkins almost went down.
