I must say, U or Ginsberg or Keroack really know how to pick'em.
And no one could hug and clinch like Vlad! Vlad just wanted a hug... And wound up getting a championship.

Hey big boy pants much of a double standard there?

That was a good win for him, despite the headbutts which put a slight damper on it.
Right. But someone counted 5 head buts. However it was one of those of shutouts without knockout that Mayweather often pitched. It was pretty easy.

Yeah the headbutts were quite bad. Damaged his eye for life.

          - - Wlad was advanced in offering a fighter a hug before knocking him out so he could at least have sweet dreams...

In a few years we will be listening to the same stuff from fanboys about Crawford. Hell, the same breed of fanboy swore Broner was damned near an ATG already. Crawford hasn't even begun to convince me he belongs on an AT P4P list. Who has he beaten besides Spence? Garcia was a little, delusional, old lightweight, who had already seen his best days.

As long as they have lots of fast twitch fibers fanboys will predict their ATGness. Now Crawford is the archetypal example of fast twitch fibers that fight no one and rely on their fans' adoration to affect public opinion.

I ask only one thing of boxing--make the best fights in a timely manner and screw marination. Not a single current fighter I know follows that model, and no promoter either.

Canelo used to, but no more.

You know, I thought I had seen some foxtrot in big Vlad's footwork. He goes around with his arm outstretched in case a gal, or even an opponent wants to dance.

He also "flinches" lol. A real bad habit.

Most smaller fighters would "beat" most larger ones, if you consider how the physics would work when blowing up the small man to match the weight of the big man.

As it is, without a "Honey, I shrunk the kids" machine, and bound to the laws of physics, a lightweight will reliably move faster and execute more precisely than a larger man.
However, those advantages are offset by mass, strength, power and resiliency to the extent that weight divisions are appropriate in combat sports.

P4P ratings are useful only for comparing career accomplishment across divisions.
