It's more about what you've accomplished in your number of fights. Quality of opposition and wins. Sven Ottke had over 300 amateur fights and won an Olympic Bronze Medal. He defended his title at 168 a record 20x (tied with Calzaghe), yet his pro resume of 34 fights is trash. I would not say he deserves to be inducted into the IBHOF alongside the ATGs of the sport who truly challenged themselves.

I'm not talking about who should or shouldn't be in the IBHOF.

I'm talking about who's IN the HOF & how many competitive fights/years (am & pro) boxing it took for them to earn their spot. I'm talking about the experience it took as a boxer to reach HOF status (speculatively anyway, cuz its debatable when someone may have guaranteed themselves a HOF ticket).

Michael Spinks had 100 amateur fights and won Olympic gold. I'd say his 28th pro fight is what earned him a HOF nod when he defeated Holmes for the HW title.

Usually being a three belt champ and nearly knocking out every opponent might get him there

So like if we were talking about Mike Tyson for example I believe he started boxing am at 13/14 & had around 50 fights allegedly & you could argue (I won't, just suggesting you could) that Tyson cashed his HOF ticket with the Michael Spinks W in his 35th fight at age 21. So in his case it took 85ish fights & 7-8yrs to be HOF worthy.
            - - Clearly Naoya Inoue in the mix with Mike:

Rigo had a decade+ long amateur career too.

I'm thinking about guys who had less time boxing (am + pro) & were arguably HOF worthy.

                    So Joshua at 21 fights?

And, what, 10 years total experience amateur and pro?

I'm sure Joshua will get there, Olympic gold, unified champ, twice, sold out major stadiums. Did a lot more than guys like Gatti and few others they let in the door.
