    boxrec

Years ago, boxrec had its issues about being a safe site to log in to.
    The problems disappeared.

But lately, I get these messages again from my McAfee anti-virus protection: “The site contains potentially dangerous content that could harm your computer.”

I’ve learned, that McAfee is reliable. So what’s making them su****ious to the boxrec site?

Some years ago, the Danish daily paper Ekstra-Bladet, a “safe site”, had several computers infected.
It wasn’t the paper itself that had created the damage, but some ads on its front page.

    - - I don't use McAfee after it expired from my Dell warranty. MS that virtually every computer uses as their base software has it's own security.

At any rate, clicking on safe site icons like boxrec sometimes yields those not secure warnings, but go back minutes later, and now secure, so go figure.

Ol'man McAfee died pedophiles' death in Thailand as I recall, where all the pedos are supposed to congregate like Gary Glitter and the like. Company went up for grabs hanging on to you now.

That TV Kung Fu hero David Carradine passed in disgrace in some kind of *** fetish in Thailand..

Googled McAfee, and it seems he was suspected of murdering his neighbor (a less degrading crime than being a pedophile, I guess).
But what looks like kayoing him definitely was 'tax evasion charges'.
Suicide by hanging in his prison cell, it says.

However, I'm not sure of what McAfee's fate has to do on a forum about the history of boxing ...

        - - That's the guy I was talking about, but I was wrong about his transgressions that were numerous it would appear.

Anyway, I use MS security though McAfee acts like it's still guarding me.

Yes, Ive had the same things happen with Boxrec. It's their ads, they are trying to execute redirects to malicious websites.
