You'll find that those same people aren't taken seriously around here by knowledgable posters

I doubt I'm coming off as someone making baseless assertions. If anyone is, it would be you.

And I don't care what people perceive me as on an internet forum. Heck, let them think I'm a moron. I don't care. I don't plan on conversing with others who like Wladimir. He bores me, but I don't deny his status.

Who's the knowledgeable posters? The people you like? I'll say it again. I could care less what you or anybody think of me. I'm only talking to you because of the debate we were having. Now, do you wanna continue or bust?

The way Wlad is dominating, and if he continues he can only be denied for so long!
Lopez did beat much better opposition than Klitschko though. Take Saman Sarjutarong for example. He was a great champion who beat ATG Humberto Gonzalez by KO in the sixth round of their FOTY and went on to many more defenses. Lopez took him apart in two or three rounds.

There are many others like that too. Not only that, but he also beat an undefeated Rosendo Alvarez who went undefeated for another decade until he was 36 and had moved up way beyond his weight class and lost to a young Jorge Arce.

He also never lost a single fight. Not by KO, not by decision, not at all.

They can't accpet the fact that a Eastern European fighter, who does the true art of boxing hit and not be hit is ruling the division. And they also can't accept the fact that Wlad is a gentalmen outside the ring also.
Just out of curiosity, what do you think of Floyd Mayweather? Where do you have him as an ATG?

Brewster can be a very good puncher. Perhaps on a smaller scale, so can Sanders. Those are very essential tools, considering Wladimir doesn't have the best chin.

I don't know where you get the idea that Brewster is a better puncher than Sanders.

Granted they past their prime but they were quality fighters none the less. (Marciano also beat a way past his prime Louis but we're not counting that.)

As a tangent, at 38, his brother Vitaly is in far better shape than either Louis or Ali were at the same age. Much of it has to do with him not being in as many wars. Not being in wars affects his legacy but it certainly is healthier.
          Vitali

          Pro boxing - 40 fights

          Amateur boxing - 210 fights

          Amateur Kickboxing

          Pro Kickboxing

It's safe to assume that he has had well over 300 fights in Combat Sports, hell maybe even closer to 400. Far more than Ali or Louis ever had.

Unify! and hold the title for awhile after that

I know, I know he won't fight his brother, but brothers have been fighting each other and competing with each other since the begining of time. Yes one of them will lose and neither one wants to do that. Fighters chose not to unify because they might lose all the time so why is this any different. Just think his brother is keeping him from greatness and it would be a big money maker! Why not?

And then the winner will be on the road to greatness.

Both Klitschkos are all-time greats to me, but yes they're sort of "lets just pretend those guys don't exist" here in America, where many people think Tyson is still the champ. Cultural, racial, & stylistic stuff I guess -- you need to look the part or lose and go away.

Pacquiao, with how exciting he is, if he had the look would probably be the most famous man in sports rather than someone rarely mentioned outside of boxing news. (Not to hijack...)

How will knocking out a blown up Cruiser Weight who hasn't even really been tested at HW elevate him to ATG status? (Insert comment about Haye beating Valuev by the skin of his teeth) I don't think that win alone does it. He needs to keep winning in dominant fashion I think. Defeating Haye certainly won't hurt his effort but it doesn't seal the deal.

                      Wlad for ATG status?

Well he is definitely HOF by now. But ATG?

First, Vitali needs to retire or fight his brother (which won't happen).

Second, Wlad should continue a dominating reign for another 3-4 years, that he'll cover a full decade with good wins.

Third, he should pick the best names only - even if he needs to drop a belt to avoid a C-level mandatory. Names include Haye, Valuev, Chambers, Povetkin, and maybe Solis, Dimitrenko, Tua, Tyson Fury, Boytsov.
